Yoga Mudra in Spiritual aspects:

The Sanskrit word mudra is translated as ‘gesture’ or ‘attitude’. Mudras can be described as psychic, emotional devotional and aesthetic gestures or attitude. Yogis have experienced mudra as attitudes of energy flow, intended to link individual pranic force with universal or cosmic force.

  • Mudra is a combination of subtle physical movements which alter mood, attitude or perception, and which deepen awareness and concentration. A mudra may involve the whole body movements and kriya.
  • To remove all the gross blockages of mind and body mudras are extremely effective. However, anyone can learn about Mudra but these techniques were not intended to learn from a book. Practical instruction from a Guru and a guide is a must in the practice of any Mudra in yoga practice.
  • Mudras are higher practices which lead to the awakening of Prana, Chakra, and Kundalini, and which all are the major Siddhis, psychic powers for an advanced practitioner.
  • By performing mudra we make a path in between our Physical body, Mental body and Pranic body to help them connect and generate the full potential of being aware.
  • Mudra helps the being to develop in its best form where the outer world can no longer control what’s going inside and you became the one and only owner of this Soul and Body.

Yoga Mudra in Health aspects:

“It’s all in your hands”  The palms and fingers have many nerve endings which constantly emit energy. Every fingertip is holding magical healing benefits inside and every time in a mudra your tips gently pressed and come in contact the produce Pranic energy which flows through your veins and then to your whole body as blood.

  • The interlocking of fingers in the practice creates a complete cross-connection of energies from right hand to left hand and vice versa.
  • Mudra helps in balancing the energies of the body. It helps in making the body and mind more stable in meditation and develops greater concentration, awareness and internal physical relaxation.
  • Mudra helps in balancing and controlling of all the Doshas Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Imbalance of these three doshas is a reason for every disease and discomfort in the body.
  • Mudra works for every muscle, every organ and every pranic force of the body. With regular practice of it, one can become the healthiest and balanced being. Both mentally and physically.
